Your photos never leave your device
Image Studio does every bit of the work — compressing, resizing, converting and removing backgrounds — locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is transmitted to, or stored on, any server.

Frequently asked questions
Is Image Studio really free to use?
Yes. Every tool — Compress, Resize, Convert and Remove Background — is completely free, with no signup, no watermark and no usage limit.
Are my photos ever uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool runs locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your original files and the results never leave your device.
Which image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP files. Output can be JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF depending on the tool, and on how new your browser is — if AVIF encoding isn't supported yet, Image Studio automatically falls back to WebP.
Will compressing my images ruin the quality?
You're in control of that trade-off with the quality slider. Higher values keep more detail with a larger file; lower values shrink the file more aggressively. Results update as you drag, so you can see the exact size before downloading.
Is there a limit on how many images I can process at once?
No hard limit — you can batch-upload as many images as you like. Since everything runs on your own device, very large batches will simply take longer and depend on your computer's memory.
Does the background remover work in any browser?
It works best in up-to-date versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. On the very first use, your browser downloads a small AI model (roughly 40–80MB) which is then cached for instant use afterward.
Can I compress an image to an exact file size?
Yes — turn on “Hit an exact file size” in the Compress tool and enter a target in KB (handy for forms or platforms with strict upload limits). Image Studio automatically tries different quality levels until it lands as close as possible to that size, right in your browser.
Do I need to create an account?
No account, no email, no login. Just open="open" the page and start dropping in images.
